I play gigs every week and play every day and played over 25 years.
#TUBE WORKS REAL TUBE OVERDRIVE VS BK BUTLER TUBE DRIVER FULL#
This pedal is a keeper!!! Read full review The Digitech CM-2 is built to last, with a great bright blue indicator light, and the knobs are not a smooth turning type, but instead have a slight "click" as you turn them.different, I like it!īYW, I gigged with this pedal through a tube amp, but have used it on my solid state Peavey Bandit, and it sounds awesome through the clean channel as well. I have an Ibanez Bad Monkey and a Joyo Vintage OD, but this pedal can do what both of them together cannot.expand the variety of OD tones.
There is a difference in tone, and you can play with the Gain on each setting to get any overdrive tone you're hoping for. The Modified gives a little more balls when the song calls for a more driving/sustained tone. The Classic sounds a lot like a Tube Screamer, very warm and cuts the mix well. GREAT feature is the mini toggle switch which has a CLASSIC and MODIFIED (Modern) setting. Gain has great range too, never get's to a distortion, but has the grittiest overdrive of any overdrive pedal I've used. Low and High work great.instead of just rolling off the highs like a tone knob, you can actually EQ your sound.
The volume knob has a lot of range and can really add a great boost. I received this a day before a gig, so tried it out at home and ended up putting it on my pedal board the next day. I checked youtube reviews before buying the Digitech CM-2 Tube Overdrive, and all I can say is that it sounds even better than any video review.
